Problem with links in posting history. [MI]
posted by squirrel to Bugs at 11:29 AM (6 comments total)

I've found that clicking on users' post history links always brings up only the first of their posts to any thread. For example, if a user has posted ten comments in a thread, clicking on the link to the 8th post brings up their first, not the 8th, post in that thread. I'm using Firefox on Jaguar, but I've seen the problem under IE for XP as well. Sorry if this is a repost; I'm sure others have noticed the problem, but I've missed the thread about this bug, if there's been one. It's been this way as long as I can recall.

This happens for me, too, and it's irritating.

Ha, I figured this was just me. I invariably want the last one, but I always get the first one and I've just assumed it was sorted in the different order than I expected. Although since it happens every time I should have been suspicious.

Firefox, on OSX.

Either it's fixed, or it just WFM. Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 on Linux. It's a little confusing because the threads are sorted in reverse-chronological order (newest threads first), but the individual comment links are in forward-chronological order (oldest comments first). Looking at the links, though, they all look proper.
