Invading and occupying Iraq IS a monstrous crime. (so is torture and abuse and death of so many of them who did nothing to us, and so so much more...) What's so inappropriate about the truth?

Not that I entirely disagree with some of the basic points, but the spewing bile and spiteful tone and vocabulary really crosses the line and obscures the argument, making any and all dialogue impossible. It's the sort of thing that totally derails the kind of productive, civil discourse that was occuring upthread.

Almost everyone gets emotional and flares up from time to time, but to burst onto that thread, after months of (dare I say welcome) silence, with a bunch of insulting and idiotic crap like that is a mess of stupid. Fine, he hates metailter, he thinks that efforts to be civil are "sickening," and that he'd prefer to get banned by the "middle-school monitor that runs this place," because then he can boast about how the man can't accept his RAW TRUTH!
