Why doesn't the french+music tag find this post tagged with both french and music?

Does the + thing work for any tags? '+' is url encoding for ' ', so there's a good chance your code is seeing the space and not triggering for addition, just for a basic search for 'french music'.

french+music and french%20music return the exact same thing, so moift might be on to something.

(Incedentally, are you sure treating "+" and " " the same is actually standard? Might be the standard behaviour for some library code Matt's using or something, but del.icio.us and eBay both treat 'em differently...)

+ is standard form for application/x-www-form-urlencoded types, not strictly applicable if there's no POSTing being done, but common enough for general purpose url encoding. %20 is standard for RFC1738, makes more sense, and is probably more generally standard.
