Thing is you don't. A multitude of offline readers exist for desktops and mobile devices. For example I don't know whether it has been expanded to the web but some black sites used to get one way Usenet on tape.

Besides breaking a fundamental guideline of mark up, using a content free phrase instead of the name of the movie reduces accessibility for those using screen readers.

Thing is you don't.

And oddly you still have trouble clicking on links that lead to other sites while you're browsing offline. Sounds like you do need to be online to get the full "MetaFilter experience." I'm assuming you had to be online to post a reply to my comment.

That was both wrong and terrible, IIHAA. Firstly, logically, there is no reason why the word "splitpeasoup" should link to anything other than a page about split pea soup. But what is worse than this is that the casual reader has no way to parse this sentence for information without clicking on the link. Wrong, terrible, illogical, and wrong. Discuss.
