Followup-filter: the yellow gnomes in my "art or crazy?" post turn out to have been neither, but simply an instance of viral marketing for a VOIP application. [mi]

I will not dignify the company with a name or link, but if one follows the first link in the post it will be obvious that the site has been altered to "reveal the true nature" of the gnomes. If you want one, by the way, check out the forum on that site - some people appear to be offering up the ones they have found in various places in Scandinavia and the Low Countries.

So, congrats to mdn and Biblio for being less naive than me, and apologies for unknowingly making a Pepsi Blue post.

so what does a bunch of yellow gnomes have to do with making phonecalls? These viral marketing douchebags don't even have to make sense anymore.

Woo hoo! My cynicism has finally paid off! I knew those pee-colored fuckers looked shifty.
