Does this explain why BlogLines keeps telling us it has a problem?
I mean, that's not a 404. If BlogLines got a 404, then it wouldn't be complaining about the feed being invalid.
Firefox reports it's being served up a document of type application/xml, UTF-8 encoding, etc. So it's sending back one line of text where there should be a feed.
Maybe this is a new thing, but if not, it explains a lot. posted by AmbroseChapel at 9:26 PM on July 11, 2006
The feeds are all fine now. What you see is every once in a while the rss file is created but dies at some point before the flat file is written. I need to add some code to check for a fail before anything gets written to disk, but whenever someone makes a new post, the RSS file is rewritten again, so I see both mefi and ask mefi look fine now. posted by mathowie at 9:58 PM on July 11, 2006
