I experience a similar footer issue within Safari, Version 2.0.4 (419.3):

Yeah, I'm doing some weird float hack to make the rss icons line up. I saw a fix somewhere in another thread (told me to display:inline an element) but I might just trash it and go with a normal bullet list

In Opera 9, you can fix that problem by pressing Shift-G. It magically goes away. ;)

Matt, if you just add
clear:left
to the #footer dl rule, that'll fix it

Meh, I simplified to code by ditching the dd/dt tags altogether and just put the rss icon on the left side.
