L.A. Meetup: I’ve never been to a MeFi meetup before, & I’d love to change that. I’ve read some enthusiasm about having “girls in glasses” at meetups in the past, & you’d be guaranteed to have at least one at this one. Would anyone be interested in an L.A. gathering?

I don’t live in L.A., so I wouldn’t be the best person to organize this meetup. Does anyone have any ideas for a date &/or location?

When will you BE in L.A., if you don't live here? Do you live near here? North? South? West (glub)? Tell you what, lazy angelenos (and here I'm speaking to all of you), I'll put aside my dang adorable baby and come out to meet you people if you're up for it. Weeknights are better than weekends, and the only time that's shot for me is the 29th, as I'll be here.

I live in the Inland Empire area, & it usually takes me a little over an hour to get to L.A. Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday aren't good for me, so I'm hoping we can shoot for anything but those.

Yay! I've been waiting for someone to say those magical words "L.A. Meetup." (Yeah, yeah, I could have done it myself...) I vote for a Thursday, but Tuesdays and weekends are OK too. Unfortunately, I don't have any venue suggestions, being new to LA.

21st is good for me. Is the westside too far a drive for Inland Empire folks, though? That could take a couple of hours, depending on traffic.

On a weeknight you probably won't get me much further west than the 605. I know, I'm getting old. :)

I could do Westside on a weekend, but something further east would be better. Downtown, or maybe Old Towne Pasadena? This would be better if I had a place in mind to suggest...

How about the 22nd, or the 23rd? BTW, I'm partial to the Valley (Sportsman's Lodge, anyone?) but I'll be happy to make the trip to the west side.
