Photographic proof that we L.A. Mefites do occasionally pile in our cars and drive long distances -- braving earthquakes, crossfire, and roving gangs of cosmetic surgeons -- in order to gather, drink, and shoutout.

A great time was had by all! It was fun catching up & putting faces to the names, etc. Plus, we got a free concert by JussTuss, Classic Rock with CLASS!! Never has 1970's AOR dreck been done better.

Just to clear things up...stoneegg hasn't departed from MeFi. She left my grad program, & I don't get to see her often. So sad.

I had a great time, & it was completely worth the 50,000 mile drive. Riverside rarely provides such fun.

I knew I was going to end up kicking myself when I saw the pics (but interestingly, kicking myself seems to be helping break up the mucus in my chest).

If I were there, I would've turned JussTuss into my own personal karaoke band, with my own customized lyrics to several '70s standards.

And you're not fooling anybody, scody, we all know that big "W" sign wasn't for "Weezer" (and someday we're gonna have to break the news to quonsar).

And when I do make it to a meetup, wherever it is, I'll be telling my Sportsman's Lodge stories. And I'll be wearing my new business casual outfit.
