Angryinla is Spamming January 2, 2007 1:15 PM   Subscribe

angryinla sure seems to be living up to her user name.

If 2 days seems a little premature on the callout, then I look forward to being the surrogate target of the pile-on, but 3 out of 3 comments shilling for one's own business seems a little suspicious.

let's manage our anger by lynching the self-linker!

As does the use of "seems a little" twice in one sentence.

YOU KNOW WHAT PISSES ME OFF?
I think most of america's problems are brought own by american. We could all use a course in anger management
WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF SENTENCES ARE THESE (SEE ABOVE)?
posted by Mister_A at 1:27 PM on January 2, 2007

I only saw 2 out of 3 self links? Was the one in the sure link removed? So she's only got a 66.66% self link/comment ratio, plus a comment making a broad generalization that encourages an entire nation to seek a service she happens to provide.

This callout is entirely unneeded.

Well, if he is spamming, at least he's providing a needed service. I say that as someone who's been driving around West LA a bit this holiday season.

see, what would be perfectly awesome is if angryinla came in here and recommended that I take anger management therapy or that we all do or something and then we or I all yelled at her - angrily - until they cried and left LA and started a quiet alpaca farm somewhere far, far off the grid away from electricity, computers and internet services and we all got awesome soft warm alpaca sweaters and scarves and delicious alpaca meat and stuff and we'd get a cleaner internet and a whole lot less anger at insufferable, self-promoting fools who clutter our lives with unceasing mountains of bullshit and noise.

that would be pretty awesome.

Oh I get it; 'Angry in LA'. I kept reading it as Angry Inla and I wondering what the hell an Inla was. Did the poster mean this? Because that would be pretty fucking hard core.

But no. It's not anything nearly that clever.

angrylina for me. loquacious and I must be reading the same gossip blogs.

No, I'm just moderately retarded. I'm most certainly prone to having words and letters rearrange themselves on the page, often providing the most entertaining - if mildly feverish - of imaginings.

The gossip and celebrity mechanisms of my brain are also curiously underdeveloped and miswired. I spent a good 20 minutes the other day crafting a snarky bon mot before realizing and remembering that it was Clarke who expatriatied to Sri Lanka to oogle young poolboys and make ludicrously complicated transcontinental satellite calls and faxes, not Asimov.

As a dedicated SF fanboy the shock and cognitive dissonance of the narrowly avoided embarrassment was appalling.

Am I the only one who feels mildly put off by still posting taglines? I mean, I don't want this to be a meme that's run it's course, but we do it a lot. And most, like mine, are really not that good.

loquacious writes "remembering that it was Clarke who expatriatied to Sri Lanka to oogle young poolboys"

It's one of the sad facts in life that once any accusation of pedophilia is made against anyone, let alone somebody of renown, there is nothing that can be done to reinstate that person's reputation despite nothing whatsoever having been proved.

Oh actually, there is something that can be done: just. don't. fucking. repeat. it.
