I dont think it was malicious, just a dumb insensitive comment to make in the context of that thread.

Is there a reason for deleted comments to be revived? Curiosity, I suppose...

and then when a person or two were like "wtf dude?" he repeated it with more detail. It wasn't your average "I have misgivings about rebuilding" or "wow, new orleans crime is out of control" comment, it was just crapping in the thread.

Putting aside the relative sensitivity of advocating the destruction of New Orleans in a thread about a tragic murder, can this fucking "nuke the site from orbit" meme not be put to rest? Aliens came out in fucking 1986, "nuking the site from orbit" is old enough to drink now, and it's not like it was exactly the finest piece of cinema ever committed to film.

It was a stupid derail about how the entire city should be leveled and everyone gone in a thread remembering someone that died. Seemed like a real shitstain that we could live without, and about half a dozen people took the troll bait, which I also axed.
