Pandora Playlist TradeFilter February 15, 2007 8:19 PM   Subscribe

As per Afroblanco's request, let's trade some Pandora playlists. Link (With brief description of what it is) would be a good format, I think. Here's mine (Underground hip-hop, quality lyric based, mostly extreme East and West coast based. Started from West Coast Lyrics Born and East Coast Mr. Lif)

This is a quick mix I put together of my writing music, the base being Boards of Canada and Japancakes.

Awesome! I've been wanting to do this for a while. Thanks for the stations so far, and please keep them coming.

For those of us who want to share stations - unfortunately, they don't make it very easy for us to do this! The best way to get a link for your station is to select a station and click on "share this with a friend." Then provide your own email address in the box. This will mail you a link to your station.

As for my stations, here are a few that I've been working on :

Shoegaze + Dream pop
Classic Soul
60s garage and psychedelic
Afroblanco's 'proof that you can make a viable pandora station with just one song' doo-wop station
Shoegaze + dream pop + space rock + noise
Pink Floyd-influenced
Prog-inspired music that doesn't suck

The only one of my stations that has bent to my will is this instrumental rock one (seed: Mogwai; thumbs up to: Saxon Shore, Statistics, Fire When Ready). The rest keep suggesting Billy Joel and Poison.

Great idea afroblanco and rollbiz.

Well, okay, here's one from the I-have-the-pop-music-tastes-of-a-1960s-housewife department: Andy Williams.

Maybe not for everyone, but I enjoy my station I call Jam Band Radio.

Is there an easier way to get the link than by sharing it with myself and getting the link from the email it sends?

some funk/soul
some hip hop

I have some electronic and jazz ones, but they keep feeding me stuff I don't want them to (often stuff I like, mind you, just in the wrong category/channel).

Just about everyone I work with uses Pandora, which makes the cubicle farm where I work a pretty quiet place a lot of the time. Here's my station, which I call MLN at Work.

Some mainly mellow grooves for playin' in the background when you're doin' stuff. Mostly alternative/indie-ish stuff.
