T-shirts for sale! May 9, 2007 11:20 AM   Subscribe

I'm selling my first ever real silkscreen printed t-shirts, through Coudal Partners' Swapmeat. It's limited to 119 shirts in M, L, and XL, $19 each (paypal). Ever have trouble finding someone at a meetup? This should help. Also, if this goes well, I'll be doing more designs in the future.

I commend you for your entrepreneurial spirit, sir and I will perhaps purchase the shirt, both because I enjoy a good "t-shirt" and because I have such a fondness for metafilter and this is a good a way as any to support it, as I sneaked in before it cost money to join and my religion forbids the use or purchase of sockpuppets.

I would like to point out, however -and I say this only because I care- in that photo of you on the front page, wearing your t-shirt, it looks for all the world as if you are looking down with a strong dose of pride and a hint of coquettishness, sweetly amused that you are wearing your lovely new t-shirt and NOTHING ELSE AT ALL. So I say, sir, please, sir, where are your pants? Are funds that low? I will express you some pants if you need them. There is no need to go about your business bottomless.*

*That is you matt, is it not? If not, if I am mistaken, please be aware that your model seems to have no covering on his lower limbs, that's a little weird bro. You can wear a t-shirt and pants, surely, even in the communard bohemias of whatever pot grove in Oregon that you live.

"If this goes well". 550? Your bar for going well is pretty damn low if you think there's a chance in hell that those won't sell out. In fact, if they aren't all gone by 1200Z tomorrow, I'll eat my hat. Metaphorically.

I'm curious to see how these sell, actually. Part of me would be shocked if they didn't move and fast, but the other part of me has about 700 CDs still sitting in a friend's basement.

But t-shirts are a lot more approachable of a concept than compilation albums—there's no explanation needed, so that may lower the threshold a lot. And you can't wear a CD around town.
