Voting for Podcast Music?

Would the admins (yes you kind folks) consider voting/nominations/suggestions for the featured songs for future podcasts? Just curious. (Prepared for a sound walloping.)

I think it's a really cool idea. Currently the system seems to be pickin' the one at the top spot at the moment of editing the podcast, no?

Hey jess, so do you think there should or could be a voting feature for this? Would it be annoying to get e-mails or future MeTa posts with suggestions? Wanna just hear a couple suggestions now? On preview, it's funny that micayetoca is chiming in, cause he's first on my list!

It would be exceptionally annoying to get email about this. It would b neat, imo if there were some sort of way for people to indicate their preferences. What I'd really love is if cortex did his own "best of music" podcast that had like 3-4 excellent songs on it. Mathowie is really the driver behind the podcasts though and putting one more step in making them might be one step too many.

A music-specific podcast would be amazing! I suspect I'm not alone in finding it impossible to keep up with MetaFilter Music - when I do pop in there's always good stuff, but I already spend four or five hours a day listening to the records I buy, so it'd be great to have the cream of the postings skimmed off the top.

I use the "popular" page to pick out songs for the podcast.

Everything you hear in a podcast is usually in the top three of one of those lists.
