Sunday evening isn't the best time for a meetup. Don't you think? Saturday would be better. It doesn't make any difference to me, but it probably matters to people who work. And maybe this weekend isn't enough notice.

Not that it's that likely that other people will come. There's so few of us here in ABQ that I've never really considered suggesting a meetup here.

I'm not sure how much time meetups usually go for. I figured a Sunday would be good, if people have other things they like to do on Saturday or are out of town. I just thought I might throw a suggestion out there to get some ideas.

I am in Santa Fe and I might be able to come down. Thing is, my work schedule is a little weird and I usually do work Saturdays/Sundays. But if I get out early I could make it. The real problem for me might be, I can't drink. Will they still let me in?

Oobidaius, Kelly's also serves food, and allows folks under 21 to sit at tables (easily 95% of the seats in the place) but not at the bar. During the week would work OK for me, but I assumed it wouldn't for most people -- thus the Sunday suggestion. Feel free to suggest something else.

I am not working on Sunday, so I'd be happy to come down and visit. Kelly's sounds fine, I've never been there- I just know some places that serve alcohol don't allow the under-21 crowd in at all on weekends.

Let's move the time just slightly later for Oobidaius's sake to 7:30PM.

It should always be emphasized that lurkers are always welcome to meetups—you don't even have to be a member to show up and be part of the fun! This is especially true for the smaller communities like ABQ/SF where there are few registered mefites in the first place.

If you'd like to show up at the last minute, and/or aren't sure of the location or want to call and make sure there's people there, here's my cell number: 453-0532. I'll be at Kelly's by just before 7:30PM. I'm not sure how we'll all recognize each other. If all else fails, you could just try calling me. Maybe I'll make a little MetaFilter sign and set it on the table.

So far, there's just two of us definitely confirmed, so if you're likely to come, please let us know in this thread so that the two who are going don't feel silly for calling a two-person event a "meetup". :)

See you there at 7:30 pm today. I'll be wearing a blue hat with a large brim, so wave and shout if you see me. I suppose this might be a good time to mention that I am of the female persuasion. If I get there first, I'll sit outside in hopes that it will be easier for people to find me, weather permitting.
