Music: Auto playlists for a particular user's songs.

Music Feature Request: Automatic playlists for all songs from a particular user.

I poked around and didn't see this feature already in place, but it seems like something that would be pretty handy. If I hear a song I like, my next step is to the person's profile page and then to a list of their contributions to the Music portion of the site. Then, I can create my own playlist of just their songs so I can listen to them in a row. It would be nice to just click on an auto-playlist from their profile page.

Oops, we used to have this, we'll have to add this to the user activity pages.

For instance, here is goodnewsoftheinsane's music posting activity, and here's the old page (which is broken due to a change in the player configuration but it's a simple fix and you get the idea).

We need to make the former look like the latter.

Oh hey, anyone still watching this thread?

It doesn't appear to work for usernames with special characters. At least, that's my current hypothesis for why umbú's Music Activity playlist is blank. Can't think of any other mefi musicians with non-ascii usernames at the moment.

Oh. Hmm. Yeah, special characters in titles have confused the player before; I don't think we ever had to worry about usernames because, well, they weren't showing up in a common view.

I believe it's mostly a deficiency of the player, but I could be wrong. We might need to write a little filter to convert special characters to not-so-special characters at playlist-loadin' time. Hmm.
