3 things.

1. I'm a huge fan of MeFi Mail - that's how I was able to give generic230 a friendly request for an update.

2. I'm glad everyone liked this too, I wasn't sure when I first posted if I was being a sentimental schmuck and was going to get lambasted. So, thanks.

3. I've always kind of felt a bit responsible for quonsar leaving us, so I'm trying to do penance. I'm sure I still have a long way to go.

this is truly heartwarming, even though i had a hard time understanding why kids would be enchanted with game shows. i've never heard anyone refer to those prize-pimpin' women on 'let's make a deal' as marionettes.

What is this feeling in my chest? It feels... warm. And why is my face making this rictal shape? These lines by my eyes seem to be related to the baring of my teeth... this involuntary reaction is frightening.

Someone just asked me what I'm "grinning" about; I don't know what that is, but because he is quite young, I'll assume it is some sort of counter-culture thing.

And why are the birds making such strange noises? Normally they are bothersome and shrill, but today there seems to be none of the cacophony I normally associate with outside, instead there seems to be, I can only describe it as a kind of music in the air.

It's all very disconcerting. Perhaps I'm getting sick. It seemed to come from reading this thread, so I can only assume that someone here is infected and spreading their ailments to the rest of us.

I would make a formal complaint, but clearly the illness is making me lethargic to the point where I feel I should 'just let it go and enjoy the day'.

If I recall correctly, The Circle Jerks (one of whom used to be my tax accountant) did a medley of "Along Comes Mary," "Close To You," "Afternoon Delight," "Having My Baby," "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "D-I-V-O-R-C-E."

Which, now that I think about it, I really wish I had on my ipod right now.
