It's about time for another LA meetup, wouldn't you say? I'm gonna suggest the evening of March 27th because I spun around and that's where my finger landed, and I'm going to do my darnedest to convince you all that this shindig ought to be had somewhere in the valley. Y'all might not agree, so throw your suggestions on out here.

Can't do the 14th based on my current health (or lack of it) situation. Was using the 28th as a 'deadline' to get my ass (and my doctor's) in gear regarding issues that were keeping me from trekking to L.A., but that was the soonest I could reasonably hope for. Gonna regret missing the Sportsman's Lodge (I have growing-up-in-the-valley-based history with that place that I was hoping to be the basic for hours of storytelling), but I'll keep up the effort to be "up to the trip" by the end of March and aim for the next meetup in April.

Depending on how many of you are interested on the 14th (and whether or not davejay's attractive), we might do it on the afternoon of the 15th. I was gonna say the 22nd, but that looks like it'd cut out two of the reliable folks, and I don't want to do that.

Which reminds me... I once did a jazz gig on the patio that's to the left of the front door... and as I was singing, a super drunk couple started dancing and fell RIGHT into that little man-made stream. I was trying so hard to keep singing and the band was trying so hard to keep playing while they drunkenly struggled to pull themselves out of it. My God that was the bestest gig ever.
