Specklet will be in New York Memorial Day weekend; it looks like the best days will be the 23rd and 25th. Also, I'd like to know if any Boston mefites are planning to see X on the 20th at the Paradise--I'll be in town between the 18th and 21st to see both them and the Spanish art exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts.

This is what happens when I don't check MeTa for a couple days... I miss more meetup opportunities!

Do we know what area would be convenient to Specklet? Is food or booze preferred?

Also, brujita, you'll probably ave to open a second thread about Boston since all that info is below the fold, and I kinda doubt any bostonians are gonna check a NY meetup thread.

I have no idea what part of town in which she'll be staying...and the date is still being hashed out. My birthday's the 22nd and my father's coming late the next evening--I had thought the whole weekend will be iffy, but he's just let me know he'll be in town until Wednesday.

As for the second thread, I can't post for another week---can any Boston area mefites hope me?

Won't be able to make this one, unfortunately. Why can't my friends check MetaTalk before scheduling their birthdays? So inconsiderate. Depending on how late my other commitments go, I might be able to make a cameo toward the end of the evening, however.

Don't let the location scare ya, folks. It's real easy to get to... Just take the 7 train (which you can get at Grand Central or Times Square, if you're unfamiliar) to the Hunters Point station in Queens and look for signs to the Water Taxi. It's a real quick trip from Manhattan, honest, only a couple of stops (I take it every day).

Hope to see folks there! It looks to be a nice night, too...

Not only was I all ready to come, but I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately a close friend who lives around the corner from me had a BAD situation with his roommate/bfriend, and I spent the evening helping him box up his belongings. It's been a long couple of days helping him get situated in a new place.

Still I hope you guys had a great time, and I'm excited to take a look at the pictures!
