I have been off podcasts lately, I don't know why, but this one is of particular interest as I have missed all this good stuff with massive amounts of travel in the last month or so. I think I am going to be home for the next few weeks and that means I even get to grab and listen to this podcast. My hands only shake a little bit during my MeFi absence, and that elephant is blue, not pink.

New podcast!

Random idea: a way to pop the music player out of this window, so one can comment / follow links / refresh this page without actually resetting the player (for those who don't want to manually open the mp3 in new window / separate player).

Also: Jezztek, could you consider something like a fortnight of shirts, 14 shirt discount. Because I kind of want to buy a lot of your shirts. (and something a little more different than just the bulk discount pricing you already have, and a fortnight is a fun idea).

Kool Aid Pickles are a common creation in some areas, and was featured on good eats (which Alton Brown found out about while filming feasting on asphalt).

As to hipsters getting into pickling... I know some people who've gotten into Japanese pickling, so there's at least the stirrings of a hip pickling craze.

Oh, and glad you liked my post. Basque art and literature is really fascinating, especially basque improvised oral poetry.

If you want to put in chapters, the keyword is "enhanced podcasts," & I think Garage Band lets you export those. There was a previous method, involving XML & a tool that would take an AAC file & emit a file with chapters, but that's clunkier. I used the original method but then started doing video instead.

Instead, you could post the interviews to Music, then make a playlist that plays each segment.

I always regret doing rushed, casual explanations of technical stuff in the podcast because I know I'm going to either misstate or misremember when I'm getting my stunt-elocution on like that, and I'm all "okay, come on, cortex, finish it up before Jessamyn makes a Diplomacy joke" and OH GOD THE PRESSURE.

The lesson here is if you know how sorting algorithms work, you don't need my explanation anyway and you get a tingle of nerd-triumph from spotting the mistakes and so you're welcome, and if you don't know, you don't know that I'm wrong and so ha, and anyway the site is worth checking out and is gonna get it right regardless.
