Meetup in Japan!
Japan mefites: I'm fortunate enough to be near Tokyo for a couple weeks, and I'd love to meet my fellow mefites here. Let's get together and battle the humidity with some asahi. I'm thinking an izakaya in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya -- basically anywhere on the yamanote sen. Tentative date of Saturday the 13th (very flexible though). If anybody has a reccomendation for a good place or better date, by all means!

Sigh, you taunt me with this "Meetup in Japan!" thing, and then I find out it is in Tokyo. Why not Fukuoka, hmmm? It's a bit misleading, like saying "Meetup in California!" There's actually rather a lot of Japan.
But I'm not bitter, nooooo. Sigh.

don't worry thatgirl, it doesn't look like you're going to miss anything! If I was going anywhere near fukuoka I'd hit you up... maybe next time.

Oops, for some reason I didn't notice this thread until today... I'm sorry but I won't be able to come to this one. I wonder where everybody else is?

We were out enjoying the first sunny day we've had in over a week, misozaki!
I have plans up through the end of June, unfortunately, so I'll have to pass. I hope you enjoy your stay in Tokyo!

I'd love to try to make it to a meetup, but I'm pretty busy all through June. Even more unfortunate, I'll be in Chicago the weekend of the big do, but I'm taking my wife and her parents to meet my family. Leaving them to attend a meetup, even as monumental as this, would be kinda sorta bad.

Sorry I still can't do evening meetups with crazy baby needing his Mama to be within a 2 metre distance at almost all times.
