I Married a MeFite!

On Monday, July 27, at the Shelby County Courthouse in Columbiana Alabama, MetaFilter members BitterOldPunk and elizard were united in unholy matrimony. They plan to stay in Alabama until elizard can't stand it one more fucking instant and then abscond back to Canada, where BOP is expected to bitch about the weather and the price of cigarettes.

This never would have happened had it not been for MetaFilter and MetaChat. Oh, internets. Is there nothing you can't do? Thanks, MetaFilter, for being a place that brings people together, sometimes for real real.

Ok, Brandon Blatcher, I updated my contacts page. And elizard just called me a slut for enspousenating so many MeFites. And I was all like no baby it ain't like that you my best girl now go make me a pie.

As to how we met: we talked on MetaChat, then via email, then via telephone. She was going to take a vacation to Belize, and I suggested switching her return flight to my town. So she did, and we hit it off. A few months later she came back down with her awesome cat, Al, the Best Cat Ever. And the rest is history.
