"He'd bash your face in with the banhammer / If you ever tried to scan a cat ... " September 3, 2009 9:20 PM   Subscribe

Just wanted to highlight Lore Sjöberg's Mathowie-ing of Weird Al Yankovic's "Charles Nelson Reilly", which then inspired wendell's rewrite of the lyrics. Both fairly amusing and almost lost in the shuffle, I think.

Thanks for posting this callout. I totally missed the original thread, and this really made my night after being without power the past 2 hours due to a thunderstorm.

That animation was superlative: I especially liked CNR swimming upstream.
I totally missed that post - so, thanks.

Matthew Haughey invented Cold Fusion
But he let all the jruns go
I've seen the man unlock his iPhone
And operate it with his toe
He'd bash your face in with the banhammer
If you ever tried to scan a cat
'Cause you can get all Ouchie or mess around with Jim Croce
But Lord knows you just don't frak with MeFiMatt
No no no
Talkin' bout MeFiMatt
Ohh

I appreciate the belated praise, but I was really hoping some Musical MeFite would record the lyric and post it here... I couldn't even hope for cortex; he didn't get mentioned in the lyric (and not for lack of trying) but somebody?

More video fun from MeFi's Lore: Rock. Semi-related (and still a fave of mine).
