So can anybody deconstruct the editorial process that has them linking boingboing.net, but none of the other sites mentioned in that story? Wait - I just realized it's the only one that includes a top level domain, so it's probably like an e-mail package that automatically recognizes that as a link and formats it as such. Boy, that could probably lead to some unfortunate consequences don't you think?

But, as long as I'm typing, "way cool," really? I can't read/hear that without mentally filling in "like my new video, teen steam."

i miss the chronicle. new york is better than austin in most every way, but the chronicle is infinitely preferable to the village voice. i still go to the chron for my movie reviews. chronicle doesn't have dan savage, though.

I've loved Bruce's writings in Wired and other places before, and this certainly was a good article, but did it sound a bit hunter-s-thompson-esque to anyone?

I could imagine Bruce holed up in his office, surrounding himself with browser windows and computer magazines, all hopped up on a nyquil and allergy medicene bender, cranking this article out in one pass. I'm not saying it's bad, I love it, it's just so gung ho jumping from one topic to the next.
