I'm looking at the home page today and I keep seeing patterns.

- Hunger strike is immediately followed by picky eating

I noticed the Prince/Prince thing, too. And in AskMe there's a lot of air conditioning questions today. I just thought that seeing the first post reminded readers of other things to post. So no, you're not imagining things. (Not these things, anyway.)

Prince is in the news, which is probably how that LIE entry was thought of.

I'd been on my way to make the Prince New Album post when I saw the one about the Lieblog. Which isn't actually about Prince at all, but does feature his name as the first word. Which did lead me to wonder if this was going to end up on MeTa if I went ahead and posted about Prince's album giveaways.

I'm going to use harmonics as a jumping off point, because I have to tell someone about this.
Some guy in his flat across the road (quiet, minor road - more like a small lane to access the buildings set back from the main road) just played some achingly beautiful cello for about five minutes.
I stuck my head out the window to listen, and about five people in the block of flats opposite were stood at their windows, listening too - holding a drink or having a smoke. The guys smoking pot down on the street even stopped to listen.
With the balmy evening we're having, it was a gorgeous five minute reprieve, and I felt like we were all in on a moment. Sometimes I love life so much.

I see what you're talking about every few days - a theme or subject will crop up, then a few hours later some tangent of that gets reflected in another post, which inspires another, different but related post . . . that's one of the cool things about the front page, it's kind of like a lava lamp.
