$22 for what now?

Unorthodox Chicago meetup. Please read fully before committing.

Why unorthodox? Juliet Banana and I were having dinner at The Southern not so long ago, and we thought the Family Style Fried Chicken Dinner there sounded like a pretty good idea. As you can see, it's for parties of 6-10 guests only. With JB and myself, we are at a minimum of four more guests, a maximum of eight. If you cannot see yourself paying $22 for fried chicken, you are excused from this particular class with no hard feelings and we'll see you at the next one of our many meetups. Also note that you will likely be in for a share of one or more of their punch bowls as well, though that's certainly not compulsory (some of us are drinking for two), so don't worry too much on that score. Reservations will be made, so please do not commit to this unless you are in for the whole sin. No backing out (barring emergencies, of course). The first eight people to step up with a definite yes are in.

As far as dates go, I am fairly flexible, but I think a weeknight sometime in the next couple of weeks would work best for me.

My sister is in town for a bit next week and likely we'll be sick of each other after seeing each other at the August 4th Billy Goat meetup, so how about the second two weeks of August? Anyone have any preferences or blackout dates?

I would lurve to do this. I like Thursdays and Fridays, but Wednesday the 18th would work as well.

That date works for me. Is 6:30 or 7 a decent time for everyone to get to Wicker Park after work? I don't have my schedule yet but I work until 6 sometimes. However, it's just a quick pedal up Milwaukee, staring at the skinny-jeaned asses of keeblers passing me on track bikes that look like they're made out of Legos.

This sounds so good as I love fried chicken and live with vegetarians. But my schedule is kinda iffy. So I guess what I'm saying is count me in, but if you fill up I will be OK with dropping out considering the chance I might have to do so anyway.
