Mathowie's Dawson Creek Double September 9, 2010 7:10 PM Subscribe
Matt, I just wanted you to know that the Dawson's Creek version of you (analogy source) has been guest starring in recent episodes of SyFy's "Warehouse 13." Unless it's just me. But the character can spout technobabble at the drop of a hat, and the way they've got the character costumed has been reminding me of those photos I've seen of mathowie.
(I'll leave it to Cortex to pre-redeem the thread if he so chooses by coming up with a Paula Cole-inspired Metafilter theme song.)

So basically any tall, vaguely hipsterish young adult with glasses = Matt? I don't get it.

Don't forget the Heroes/Star Trek edition.
As for Warehouse 13, I think it would be a lot more enjoyable if it hewed closer to the arguable source material (previously). Less Goofy Mulder, more horrific concrete murder-golems that strike when you blink, plz.

Every time I have almost forgotten that Dawson's Creek existed, somebody goes and mentions it.

Can I get some of whatever WCityMike is on?
Also, Dawson's Creek was the best show ever! There will be a remake. I will live for the movie and its sequel. These are the hopes and dreams that keep me alive.

SyFy is like SciFi but more intense, baby. Get it? Warehouses 1 through 12 were filled with boxes of electronics, or maybe meat, and they just weren't edgy enough to make the cut.

God do I hate, hate, hate it when shows pull this crap. The following is the exact dialog from 2x09 where Claudia and Todd are making sexytime:
C: Say it again!
T: Come on.
C: Please, for me?
T: My preferred method of hacking is to use an integrated secure toolkit, apply it to a safe-type concurrent algorithm, derived from an active binary work cluster, embedded in a synchronized meta-level high speed architecture.
C: *swoons* I love it when you talk tech!

I was really confused; I watch Warehouse 13 pretty regularly, and I didn't remember seeing Zachary Quinto on there at all.

SyFy is a horrible name... I mean I KNOW what it stands for and all, but every time I read it there is a nanosecond of "What? SlyFry?, oh wait that's right, it's that silly cable channel"

That reminds me of an ongoing joke my husband and his bandmates have that whenever they're driving around in Chicago, they point at any guy with dark hair and glasses and go "it's Steve Albini!" Never you mind that David Mamet who wrote Sexual Perversity in Chicago actually does sorta look like Albini...

I was dining with mandymanwasregistered, k8t and speicus in a Silverlake Thai restaurant. Zachary Quinto came in. For an ecstatic split second we thought we'd all won free sockpuppets in the Unofficial Meetup Sweepstakes. Nope, just a movie star. :(
But I know Matt has a magical mefisense that tells him when users are meeting up. Maybe our user numbers light up on the big board in the Mattcave.

I don't want to wait for mathowie to be clo-oned...
