Meta Filter, [1973-75] is an interactive console, two participants sit on either side and look at a series of neutral images of people, people as individuals or people in relationship to others on the small screen in front of them.

There is no right or wrong answer, the purpose of the work is the processes the two participants go through to understand each other’s perceptions and to work together to find a state of agreement.
How did you manage to resist putting "MetaFilter:" behind that quote?

It's only the fact that the project was called Meta Filter that makes it relevant. If it had been called Meat Scagaire, I don't think it would have been a worthy post for the blue. So, that puts into the stunt post category for me.

There is no right or wrong answer, the purpose of the work is the processes the two participants go through to understand each other’s perceptions and to work together to find a state of agreement.
I made a study of personality tests a while back (or temperament schedules as they called them way back when The Organization Man was on the rise) and one thing I quickly learned was that any statement that begins with "there is no right or wrong answer" is always a lie. The Organization just wants your defenses down. The Organization needs to know your inner truth.

This is always a Try Hard signal. "Pay close attention to this part!" I think Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was diminished some 10% of quality by including the actual poem in an unnecessary speech.

You know what's weird? Like, when you're reading a book and listening to the radio at the same time, and right as you read the word "theater" in your book, someone in a song sings the word "theater" at the exact same moment. That's what's weird. What do you even call that?

Then put it through a good food processor, remove one of the toilets in the house from its base, and dump it in the sewer pipe. Follow up its disposal with lots of bleach and then run the water for 5 or 10 minutes on top of that. Finally, plug that pipe.
