Can we get some decorative metafilter beanplates or other schwag up in this?

Any reason why there isn't a 24-7 web store?

You mean year round? I think because it's non-trivial to maintain and the only time we really see people asking for/about it is holidaytime. That said, the link works 24/7, we're just not actively maintaining the links that are on that page. Maybe we'll get started earlier this year. I always like putting it together even though it's a weird dump of little footley work when it happens [not just adding people's stores but making sure they fit the guidelines and then people have weird little edits they need made or their content is way too long and needs editing or whatever].

Jessamyn, I was thinking about something automated/just-in-time like Cafepress. Pretty much runs itself if I've understood the concept correctly.

Did someone say requests...?

Here are some slogans I would like to see on a t-shirt, preferably set against a professional background color:
Metafilter: Can I get my five dollars back?
Metafilter: SILENCED ALL MY LIFE.
Metafilter: As much spouse as you can eat

If we're talking about designs, how about a t-shirt that looks like a profile page? Or what about a t-shirt with a great Mefi anecdote or quote?

Actually, at the last MaxFunCon, I met the folks behind Topatoco that do all the shirts for online comics sites and they said they'd love to handle MeFi shirts if I sent them some designs. I got sick of doing it all myself at home, maintaining inventory, printing receipts, and stuffing envelopes, so basically all that boring stuff is done for me and I still get a decent enough cut of the sale.

So basically we just need some new design ideas and we could theoretically print them fairly easily.

Anyone got any ideas for a shirt? I'd pay $200 for any designs we actually use.
