404 error in the site search when logged out.

I've noticed the following problem using search when I'm not logged in, this happens on a variety of browsers (under OSX) and affects mefi, projects, music, jobs, podcast and irl, but strangely not Ask!

For example if I do a search on Mefi for "snark" I get a set of results here
All OK so far, at this point there are two search boxes visible, the original search box at the top right and a second one below filled in with the original search criteria.

But if I now try to do another search, using the second box, I get redirected to this page and get a 404:

Error: File not found
Looks like you've asked for a file that doesn't exist, try out the search below to find what you are looking for, which searches across all the MetaFilter sites.

Searching via the top right search box always works but then you have to retype the query.

Thanks for the heads up and the detailed bug report. This should be working now.

Lanark, this means you must escape Unthank.

Ah but escaping Unthank, means arriving at greater Unthank. Also pb just closed the wormhole, theres no way back!
