This AskMe thread is making my flesh crawl. Am I just paranoid?
I don't want to derail that thread any more than it already has been. But since the OP is demanding to know why others find his proposed actions "creepy," I will give my opinion here:
To me, that thread is reading increasingly like the sort of exchange the media would dig up after the person responsible for it had done Something Very Bad Indeed.
Is anyone else getting that kind of vibe, or have I just been reading too much true crime?
(I didn't go to the mods about this, because, well, I'm not sure what they could do, really.)

It is a weird thread, but predicting some hot button style event that hasn't happened is just as creepy.
The thread will wilt away and whatever the OP does is beyond the control of this site.

This should probably just be closed too. The "true crime" angle is over the top and the Ask is already done.
