Informative post about "green" disposable cutlery June 18, 2012 1:45 PM   Subscribe

Looking for a post detailing the impact/efficacy of "green" disposable utensils...

I seem to recall a post (maybe a comment, or maybe an FPP) in which a mefite described--in some length, and maybe including links--the environmental impact of post-consumer "green" disposable cutlery/takeout boxes/etc.

I really really thought I had bookmarked it at some point, but I guess I didn't!

Any help?

Was it from "How can we keep our party green?"

Nope, not it! At first glance, I thought it might be, but alas...

The more I think about it, the more I think that it was likely in an unrelated thread, posted as a comment. I definitely recall that it basically took the wind out of the idea that the "green" disposable cutlery that you see in so many "green" restaurants is just as bad--or worse--for the environment as the standard white plastic disposable cutlery that's been around for ages.

Could it have linked to Ask Pablo: Metal vs. Plastic Cutlery? Failing that, I am sure Slate had something on this. As an aside, the Veep had a bit on it too.
