Searching for a Health Care Article June 28, 2012 5:54 PM   Subscribe

I'm searching for a first-person account about one person's experience with health care costs that I read on the blue.

It was written a few years ago by a woman for a national magazine. It was a well-regarded article or series of articles. I want to say the woman was famous or somehow moneyed but I'm not sure. It goes into how I think both her daughter and husband had health problems at the same time and it pulled the family down into this problem of being under- or uninsured that they never thought they would be in. I think her daughter was in some kind of accident (maybe horse back riding?) and required round the clock care. Help! Thanks!

Here's one that's similar but it's by a male science writer and more recent.

That's not it, but thanks. It was definitely by a woman.

Was it the lead story from this post? (The DailyKos link isn't working for me right now, but the story was also posted here.)

No, that's not it either. The woman herself wasn't sick, it was two of her family members and long-term care was involved in it I believe. Thanks for trying.
