Seeing the thread on letterpress, I thought to seek out other MeFites and also let them know how to find me in GameCenter.
We have a thread here about this, but I would like to request a pony in the form of adding GameCenter to the Social Apps section of the user profile.
Please?
Does GameCenter have a linkable, public profile on the Web? That's one of the criteria for adding a Social App.

Yeah, we don't have a mechanism for sharing non-Web networks. Eventually there might be enough of these to solve this problem somehow, but I think right now it's kind of an odd outlier. I think networks trend toward openness as they grow, so maybe Apple will eventually hook it up to the Web. When we added Social Apps Microsoft had xbox live off of the public Web. When they eventually added public profiles we added that option here.
That last GameCenter thread was four months ago so we could always use this thread to trade usernames.

Speaking of profile Social Apps, it appears that Twitter has finally gotten around to taking down all of their RSS links, leaving the twitter boxes in everyone's profile empty.
For example:

I see Twitter boxes on people's profile pages. Take a look at the lower left corner of my profile. We don't use RSS for those—we're using the official JavaScript widget that Twitter provides.

All the Letterpress games I've played against MeFites so far have been way better than the ones against randoms. And none of the random stand-ups, too (they really need to do something about that — only about 50% of my first moves have actually turned into two-player games).

Phirephoenix on Game Center. I also play TTR and Ingenious and a bunch of other board games, if people are so inclined, though I am terrible at Carcassone and it makes me sad.

I'm vallyhigh. No idea why--my husband says that maybe he gave me that user name a long time ago. And he uses it to play his own games, so it says I play a lot of games I don't. But I'm totally in for Letterpress.

Slowly but surely the metafilter contingent on Game Centre is being connected. This feels awesome.

I have no idea what Letterpress is but I downloaded it anyway. If you look for ardgedee you can get bragging rights for kicking the ass of a raw newbie at his first game.

After a few days of playing this I'd say I like Letterpress but Game Centre is breaking it for me. It's too frustrating to hit 'Submit' over and over again until your tiles turn blue and you know it's taken.

It would also be nice if both Letterpress and Game Centre showed the same player name. Letterpress only shows nicknames while Game Centre (at least the screen where you invite a friend) shows only the full name. Or even better, let me assign alaises so I can figure out which mefite is kicking my ass.
But on the bright side, Canadian spelling is accepted.

I tend to start a whole bunch of games, finish them, and then start a brand new batch. So, I fired up a batch with some MeFites, and now Game Center only shows me "Opponent" as the username.
So, while I am here to acknowledge that unliteral is crazy good, I am sorry that I won't be able to offer Kudos to the other "Opponents."

I have to say that while I win most games, JoshMadgwick is kicking my arse from here to Timbuktu. Because of the differential naming conventions at GC and here, I'm not sure if they are a Mefite, but if so, out yourself here and let the hordes descend.

Yes, this would be helpful. I find I am starting to think of opponents as their avatar image, since that is the only consistent thing across game center/letterpress. So in my mind I am locked in long game with "mechanical bird" and waiting for a turn from "sleeping dog".

I kicked our static image server, and I was able to change profile images in a bunch of different browsers including the iPhone. You might give it another shot.
