My gender keeps vanishing. This only happens on Metafilter, though, so it's not a personal problem. I don't think. This is like the third time I've had to re-input it. It's not because I label myself a "big fag" is it? I swear I'm not an internalized homophobe.

I can see that you're a big fag. Um...from looking at your profile.

Yeah. Rending. It's rending his gender to bits. Bwahahaha!

Seriously. That's some funny stuff, skallas. It's the unintentional hilarity that makes my day.

Bump the high end of that demographic to 37, skallas and you'll have at least one more big fag. Fan. Whatever.

Trying the single quotes now. Thanks.

That did the trick. Apparently, what happened was I went in and changed my profile a couple of times without noticing that the gender field was blank. Thus I'd lose the entry when updating the profile. Changing the double quotes to single ones now retains the information in the gender field whenever I re-visit my customize area.

I love a story with big fags and a happy ending.

A happy gender-rending ending.

Rend it, don't mend it.

Or something.

(Doesn't that kind of sound like Scooby Doo reciting some perversion of the affirmative action slogan?)
