post about how Hillary Clinton's morning routine versus Obama's? August 27, 2014 7:08 AM   Subscribe

A couple of years ago--or maybe longer--there was a post and discussion about how early Hillary Clinton had to get up in the morning, to attend to her hair and makeup, versus how early Obama had to get up, during the 2008 primary. I think it was a discussion of a magazine article. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? I've searched and can't find it.

Searching Google with the string "Hillary Clinton morning routine" yields a few articles, including this one.

Perhaps one of the articles shown in the Google search is the one mentioned in the metafilter post you're thinking of.

Edit: Here's one from 2008 which may be more relevant.

The 2008 Slate article referred to in dfriedman's link above, was mentioned in this thread. Maybe that's what you remember?

This FPP from July is not the specific one you're looking for, but is also good read in case you missed it.

Yes, those both are what I was thinking of! The Slate article and that thread. Thanks!

from dfriedman's link:

her male opponents most likely spend around 20 minutes showering, shaving, and getting dressed

Huh? I would never spend less than 40 minutes getting ready in the morning before going to work, and I'm a man with a job that's not even public-facing.

I would never spend more than five, and that includes the time I spend looking myself in the eye, wondering what I'm doing with my life.
