It is my pleasure to welcome a new member into the Mefi family: Twain Device and his wife Allison welcomed their first child, Soren Tesla, to the world this morning.
Mom and Dad and baby Soren are all happy and healthy and resting comfortably. Congrats to everyone involved on finishing 9 months of beta testing and the end-user release. I'm told that Soren comes with a special early release feature: eyebrows!

Twain Device, I'm curious how you came upon the name Soren. My SO and I have that short-listed as one of our hypothetical male names for our hypothetical future children. For us is an anglicization of a Norwegian name (SO is of Norwegian ancestry).

Radioamy, we chose the name because we really love Scandinavia. We honeymoon'd there and make frequent vacays there. She suggested it but it also happens to be a fictional character in the Magic the Gathering card game. So that was pretty hilarious.
