OMG HAVE A GREAT SUMMMERRRR11111 April 3, 2015 12:45 PM   Subscribe

On March 4, Matthowie announced he was retiring. On March 7, he commented that he'd be getting his retirement thread printed as a book. If you've been putting off signing his Internet retirement yearbook, you've get less than 24 hours to come up with an exciting message.

Also we will be bringing back Rafflers and choosing a random comment from that thread to get tattooed on Matt's butt.

I'm gonna go into the thread and post "Entire Contents of book © Bondcliff Industries. All Rights Reserved."

Or maybe just something about butts.

My sister, when she was a freshman in high school, had this running joke with her friends, and so her 1977 yearbook from North Orange County, CA has lots of big scribbles of shaded balloon letters saying "HAIL SATAN!!!!!"

Which is in retrospect Metal As Fuck but I can assure you, she wasn't and ain't now.

When we cleaned out my dad's house after he moved to a nursing home, she didn't want to keep her yearbooks, but I have them. Heh heh heh.

Isn't there a way we can spring for the book version of this thing as a gift for the man? He's done plenty for us.

Thanks for posting this Going To Maine as I was in the hospital when the original thread came out and had no idea about this until JUST NOW. I shall now try to come up with something worthy for the other thread.

Damn it the thread is closed so I'll just post it here.

Matt-I can't ever thank you enough for this place. I joined back in the days of the "wild west, and it's been such a pleasure to be part of this community while it grew in surprising and wonderful ways. I've met good friends, learned, developed, swapped crafts/cards, even had the best 40th birthday ever thanks to Metafilter. So thank you.
