Staying in bad relationships July 12, 2016 9:34 AM   Subscribe

A few months ago, there was a post on the blue, linking to a question on captainawkward.com. It was about young women who stay in bad relationships. I can't find it.

I remember a pretty big response; a lot of women relating similar stories about not listening to their gut, staying with the wrong guy because they are socialized to "placate" their crappy boyfriends and "justify" their crappy behaviour. Can anyone help me find this thread?

Update! I have found the captainawkward post but I still can't find the discussion on metafilter, which is what I'm really interested in. Maybe the link will ring a bell though?

Not the precise thread you want, but sort of related. "Are you married to someone AskMefi told you to dump?"

I found it. And sorry for the confusion - it was NOT linking to that captainawkward post. It's this. Mods, perhaps you can delete this thread?

Mods don't typically delete a three. Sometimes they close it, but even that's not common.

If they delete this one, in a couple of months, there'll be another MeTa post asking if anyone remembers that one post about someone trying to find a question on colonelgawky.com.

Was it this one?

Yay, glad you found it! And yeah, no worries, we don't need to nix this thread or anything. Asked and self-answered is an okay outcome for a MetaTalk, happens now and then.

A four or five, perhaps?

Yeah, they gave up deleting three after the huge failure of their effort to redefine π as 0.1415926558979. To say everything went pear shaped is putting a very positive spin on it.

Not to mention that time they divided by zero! *shudder*

+1 to ambrosen for removing the three from the billionths place.

Night_owl, I have to confess, I copy and pasted from the first 100 digits of pi, removed the 3s, then decided that was far too silly of a joke to make.
