Post about a low-velocity car crash involving dozens of vehicles November 18, 2016 9:52 PM   Subscribe

A few years back (ten maybe...) I remember seeing a post here (I think) consisting of a gallery of 100 or so images of the wreckage of an accident that happened the night before when one driver crashed into nearly every car along the side of a street in a neighborhood. Scraped up car, dinged up car, mirrors sheared off, after car, after car, after car... Anyone have a link for the post or the gallery for me? I can't find it anymore.

This one? I remembered it was gigantic (75MB, and posted from a .edu site), so it took ages to load on my 200kbps DSL at the time.

Warning 35mb, how quaint.

Looks like the actual pictures have evaporated - now we'll never know if the guy who started it was in fact Mike.

Even the Wayback Machine cannot help us. All those moments lost in time, like tears in rain...

The archive of the scaled down mirror managed to grab a single photo. What will this rare artifact tell us of our forebears?

11 intact photos. This may revolutionize the field of car rampage studies.

Only 6 images, but it includes images of the truck responsible. I'm going to get at least two papers in Memetic Archaeology out of this.

Just wanted to note I keep seeing the title of this post go by in my Recent Activity and I keep assuming every time in an absent minded-way that it's about a metaphorical low-velocity car crash and trying to figure out what it's actually about.

Yeah, when I first read the title immediate thought was "Another Meta about the GOP candidate selection and US election?!" but turns out not to be. I should perhaps listen to more trees swaying in the wind, read less political stuff.
