I could see this as valuable for two reasons:

1.It would give some framework to new users that often assume that there are a team of people running the site.

2.It might promote better discourse through guilt. Seriously though, I don't think many people have an understanding of what it takes to moderate MeFi.

Here's how I administer metafilter:

I usually think as hard as i can at the screen: "GO AWAY, BAD POST! GO AWAY", my eyes tightly shut against the aberration.

usually when i open my eyes, it's still there, and then i cry for hours and hours and my keyboard gets all damp and sticky.

this also seems to happen when i look at porn.
