Hmmm...my innocent and month-year old new blog is IIC too. The latest entries read like a MeFi bloggers online list:

http://www.metafilter.com - Reported as inaccessible in China
http://www.pastilhas.com - Reported as inaccessible in China
http://www.proles.net/ - Reported as inaccessible in China
http://www.leuschke.org - Reported as inaccessible in China
http://www.cnd.org/ - Reported as inaccessible in China
http://www.glennfrazier.com/ - Reported as inaccessible in China

I suspect we're all IIC in our funny little ways. Perhaps they just block anything ending in .com, .org or .net.

The real game is to find which treacherous commie-lovin' websites are accessible in China. No luck yet...

My site is inaccessible as well. Odd, seeing as it's nothing but music reviews / news, with as much political content as the lastest Britney Spears album.

Unless the name RicketyShack.org is somehow a veiled reference to that dastardly capitalism. *shrug* No skin off my sack.

Has anyone found a site that is accessible? The text claims that google is, at least in some parts, but it comes back as inaccessible, too.

Not to be a snark, but hasn't there been an excessive amount of chatty-type posts going on the grey lately?

Pasting a "metafilter came up with this result" onto any sort of link-required site on the net doesn't really qualify as being pertinent.

If it's a good link, why not post it to the blue?

I just discovered that my site is inaccessible to anyone who cannot read English. Bummer.

Just in case there is any remaining doubt, I am posting this comment from Beijing. MetaFilter is not inaccessible in China, and neither are those other sites.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I accessed MeFi when I was in China, as well as Hotmail, AOL, and my own site...then again, I was in a British run building, so maybe they don't have the filter..

I used MeFi when I was in Beijing and Shangai last year. No problem then
