Links appearing as default-blue February 8, 2001 5:57 PM   Subscribe

For the past several days, links on both MeFi and MetaTalk have been appearing as default blue. At first I thought this was a design decision (though they're devilish hard to see against the MeFi background), but apparently the color change hasn't happened for Windows browsers (I use IE5 for the Mac). What's up?

Hasn't happened to me (also IE5/Mac).

redfoxtail: did you change the accessibility options perhaps to always use your settings? It may be overriding the font colours.

Ho-ho! Through some magical process my IE preferences came to use the stylesheet for my own site, saved on my hard drive. How very strange -- I swear I haven't done anything with my IE "Web Content" settings since well before that file even existed. I didn't suspect that my settings were at fault, I guess, because there wasn't noticable CSS overlap with the other sites I visit regularly. Anyway, though I now feel like a fool, thanks for letting me know that it was my problem rather than a browser thing.

I've noticed that if IE/Mac crashes, the settings frequently get corrupted, sometimes in small ways (one option gets bit-flipped), sometimes big (all cookies gone).
