When attempting to open a thread in the blue this morning, JRun closed connection.

Yeh I got that yesterday.

It's kind of touch and go. I was able to tap into this thread, but others have come up with this error.

I suspect it has to do with high load. If you hit refresh or post at just the wrong time the server will go all higgldy-piggldy

I looked up higgldy-piggldy in my Windows 2000 Server documentation and I can't find it. Do you have to have access to their paid tech support for info on this?

I was getting hell of JRun errors right after the software upgrade (but before the crash). I think it's a portent. I think we're in for another week of wandering in the desert.

wtf is up with posting a metatalk thread everytime someone spots a friggin IIS, Jabba or Cold Refusion error? metafilter was built with shitty software from day one, and the really good hardware that could have been purchased opted for a sunny vacation in iceland instead. get used to it.

Curiouser and curiouser. I can't get mefi or askmefi but I can read and post to this thread. Go figure.

In my case, an utterly drab day at work with nothing else to do but read MeFi. And if it doesn't work my whole day is ruined...

I've gotten the JRun message a few times today. At one point when I got it and couldn't access MeFi for about half an hour, I was forced to drop in at MonkeyFilter where they have a worried thread about how they're starting to resemble MeFi in snark quotient. It was one blow too many. Sniff.

I know! Between the TypePad slowdown and the MeFi J not-run I'm all a-tither!

And the really bad news is: Ralph Nader has announced he's going to Jrun.

And it isn't higgldy-piggldy; when the server gets overloaded it goes shopping at Piggly Wiggly.

JRun is a total dick.

JRun isn't *so* bad and I'm sick of all those Anti-JRunners that won't get off JRun's back.

it's true. the jruncops have always been more annoying than jrun himself.
