it was taking 2 or 3 Mb of RAM to run the server, so I decided to finally drop it and removed the service.

Heh, someone should start up a donation site for the Gopher Server so Matt can buy more RAM.

I think you could probably get a 4MB SIMM for less than a buck. A slot to put it in might be slightly more expensive.

Yes. I myself have enjoyed many delicious gophers served here, and am sad to see the service discontinued.

gopher is the web's older brother. These days he doesn't get out much, since the drinkin' started and all.
