MeFi stats June 2001

Metafilter stats have been updated for the month of June. This month, we see that although user growth has leveled off, front-page threads and comments are still growing fast.

Here are the web server stats for June as well. We're almost hitting 900k pageviews, hopefully we can top a million in July.

users seem to have leveled off some, but commenting/threads are still going strong .. so i say 'who needs those new guys' *looks at own stats* hm, oh well :-P

I think it's great that the number of front page posts per day remains rather constant, but the number of comments have risen exponentially. It demonstrates that users focusing on the participation and interaction aspect of MeFi, rather than focusing on who can find what first.

Besides, MeFi would become a clusterfuck if everyone thought they had something important to post on the front page every single day.

I wrote two scripts; one to grab user stats (from the user pages) and another to grab comment/thread stats (from the archives).

Is the counter stuck at 9075 permanently? If not, contest to see what the number is when it goes back on line?
