Gold star for biscotti October 5, 2004 4:01 PM Subscribe
Inspired by her response to the home alone puppy: to crate or not crate question, I want to commend biscotti for her many fine answers to pet related questions in AskMetaFilter. Her contributions deserve a gold star--they are always detailed, to the point and well informed. They are the sort of answers that make AskMetaFilter shine.
(My husband just said "Hey, you've been called out in MeTa", and I thought "Uh oh....", so this was a relief, as well as a huge compliment!)
Awww....shucks...I am truly touched and all blushy ovah heah. What can I say, I likes the critters.
Thanks y2karl and all you guys, you've made my day. :)

Yay Biscotti!
I'd also like to hand Jessamyn the same honor. She has a thorough, interesting answers to almost every question and I always look for her name in a thread.

Whenever I see a pet-related post, I scroll through to look for biscotti's response because I know that's the one that will be the most informative and helpful. I know my pets are happier because of some of her advice!

Absolutely--she delivers!
Which can be said for biscotti on many topics other than the furred and four footed, I must add--as I found out when checking her answers. I found myself intrigued by what she had to say in threads I'd never read before.
For a fact, both biscotti and Jessamyn were extremely intelligent, grown up and wise in the How do you confront your SO about trolling for sex on the internet? thread.
That was one which I never had read until I saw today biscotti had made a comment there while collecting pet answers for this post. My high opinion of both has risen by reading what they wrote there--they cut to the heart of the matter.

What kind of vegetables, Shane? Are they stinky? Goopy inside?
Is there kumquat?
Just let me get my Jawa suit and I'll be right there.

Oh sure - they're precious digital miladies now - but sooner or later they'll slash your furniture, steal your car, and leave you dreaming of knifepoint sex.

Hmmm...interesting as heck.
I've always been a jessamyn fan (aren't we all?), but I'm delighted to discover biscotti's elegance. I just read all the pr0n posts and was nodding in agreement, as usual, to jessamyn's thoughts...then my smile grew wider when I read biscotti's take on the whole thing.
Two great posters (and heck, I remember falling for jessamyn a couple years ago when I only ever read and commented while drunk...BOOYA!), look forward to following these two more closely.
Anyway...better have another Grey Goose before I post another comment... ;]
Thanks, gals! (typed, of course, ironically) (addendum typed, of course, ironically)
