Having just checked on a couple of threads, it appears to be doing that on every archived thread, but not on current threads.

Yeah, someone noticed that yesterday. Turns out the flat file generation stuff got the URL cut off. I've fixed this, but old files are still stored with the bad URL.

I'll have to go in and delete all the old flat files.

The username links are generated with the word "mefi" instead of the word "user" in the url.

Maybe its not a bug, but a feature - its an interesting way to see random threads. Coming soon: What thread are you?

I'm a post about Cronenberg and Tarkovsky. Which is nice.
