In attendance were: klausness (MeFi/MoFi), Zed_Lopez (MeFi/MoFi), Medusa (MoFi), scarabic (MeFi/MoFi), epimorph (MeFi/MoFi), rxreed (MeFi/MoFi), tracicle (MeFi/MoFi), sexyrobot (MoFi), Space Kitty (MeFi/MoFi), quasistoic (MeFi/MoFi), ambrosia (MeFi/MoFi), yentruoc (MeFi/MoFi), and DaShiv (MeFi), plus three additional guests.

There were plenty of cameras at the table, so I'm sure others will be posting their shoutouts soon. I'd brought along my portrait lens that I'll be selling to make rent, so as a last hurrah I took a few candid portraits--they're the black and white ones in the gallery. I hope my subjects don't mind too much, since I'm not much of a portrait photog.

We had a great turn out this time and a ton of laughs. I've heard rumors of an SF meetup on Feb 11th or so. Anyone have any details?

Hey, maybe I missed it, but how come you can't add someone as just a "crush" in your contacts anymore? I try to, but it never shows up. Am I missing something?

It wasn't really that bright there. DaShiv just extracts every tiny little bit of it into his camera. Great pictures! More pictures, with more accurate light levels can be found here.

I think it's coded in that if someone else has a person listed as "date" or something that indicates some sort of romantic relationship, one cannot add them as a "crush." It's probably mathowie's way of pre-empting MeFi-related relationship angst. I'm "downgrading" my listing of a girl at meetup whom I date to "crush." If by some chance it's the same person it should work for you now, TPS.

Da Shiv sure knows how to make a photo flattering.

I should be posting some pictures to flickr tonight, as well, and with Da Shiv's inspiration and Picasa's help, I might attempt to glam and fix a few first. (My track record on post-meetup pictures isn't so hot, though, so don't hold your breath.)

And scarabic definitely wins hottest MeFite at the meetup, with SpaceKitten earning an honorable mention for "Possibly the Hottest Monkey Not in Attendance, But Surely the Most Likely to Age Gracefully." (with all due respect to her boyfriend and family here)

While you silly boys fight over how to pass that "hot" monikor onto someone else like a hot potato, I should add that my camera work was made easy by how attractive each and every one of the ladies were. Just look at the pictures for proof. And I'm not saying that I'm among the pervs with a mind for trying to get into one of their good graces so that we could drag her daughter to a meetup. :)
