Is he still at it? I didn't call him out yesterday because I expected Matt to notice and, also, I feared a callout is exactly what he wanted.

I noticed this person long ago and had him on my "watch this possible bastard" list, but haven't gone back to check on his progress in a while. I banned him, he's pure noise.

VP_admin is annoying and contentious and has bad breath and deserves a slap on the wrist, but his comments haven't just been stunts. In contrast, I couldn't imagine any other reason that luckyclone was doing what he was doing. It wasn't just that a meta call-out would egg him on, it was that I figured a meta call-out was exactly the reason he was doing it.

I kinda hoped he'd be taken care of without getting the attention he was looking for.

Matt doesn't like shitlists. They attract people who like to be on shitlists. (See above.)

I was hesitant myself, because at first I just thought it was one or two similar comments, but then I trawled the posting history and it went all the way to "c" (I suppose I could have waited a few hours to get the "s"!), and I went further just to see if this was a true troll or somebody who'd gone off the rails. Seems to be the latter, but they were hardly adding value to the site as it was. Actually, in the beginning, I was wondering whether it stemmed from a specific incident, or even whether they were all from the same poster (e.g. a nascent in-joke I'd missed).

In the end I posted because I suspected that he may have had individual comments deleted but perhaps even our two intrepid scoutmasters weren't able to see the larger pattern.

How funny, I had the Nepal thread in a separate tab to make a similar, yet far less rigourously researched MeTa callout on the guy. Variety is the spice of life, this guy needs to find a new macro generator.
